Marc Degelaen
Biography
Marc Degelaen obtained his PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Currently, he works as a part-time professor at the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy and is responsible for teaching and research in the domains of neurological rehabilitation at the University of Brussels and is member of the research group RERE at the department and is one of the members of the Center for Neurosciences of the VUB.
His research and large clinical expertise is located in the domain of neurological pediatric rehabilitation with special focus on children with cerebral palsy. His clinical expertise and research is a unique aspect. His research focusses on postural control and movement patterns in children with cerebral palsy and gait analysis. He is Scientific Responsible of therapeutic policy in the Rehabilitation hospital Inkendaal and member of the Scientific Innovative comity, manager of the clinical center of movement analyses, physiotherapist in the Cerebral Palsy Reference center Brussels (CIRICU) and Tutor at the Belgian Bobath Teaching team.
