A structural collaboration between the Research Group Rehabilitation Research and societal centers
The Rehabilitation Research Group is developing a Living Lab Rehabilitation & Innovation (LIRI) in collaboration with various societal partners, connecting research and clinical practice through scientific and clinical linking pins. The LIRI offers direct access to patient populations for clinical research and facilitates the bottom-up development of research questions grounded in real-world practice.
Initially, LIRI is being developed around the Inkendaal Rehabilitation Hospital, with which a longstanding collaboration has now been officially established. Building on its 10-year track record as a leading rehabilitation facility, Just Move (Meise) will soon become a LIRI satellite centre. Here, collaborations with the National Botanical Garden of Meise will explore the integration of “green exercise” into rehabilitation programmes, specifically for patients who are too fragile for conventional therapy.
We are always looking to collaborate with healthcare institutions that share our vision of improving patient care through innovation, clinical research, and evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
Centers (including service flats, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and others) interested in joining LIRI are welcome to contact us!
