Silvia Zaccardi
Biography
Silvia obtained her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in October 2021 at Polytechnic of Turin University, Italy. She carried out her Master’s thesis at the Laboratory of Engineering of Neuromuscular System (LISiN), where she also collaborated as a research fellow on the “MyoArt” project, concerning an augmented reality biofeedback (electromyography) software.
Presently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree in Engineering Science at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Research (RERE) group. The doctoral research is in the context of the project “Kinematic Assessment of Real‐time Motion Acquisition of the Human Musculoskeletal System by Dynamic 4D Transversal Imaging (KARMA‐4Dplus)”. In particular, she is working on the development of an augmented reality system for the visual presentation and biokinetic parametrization of the patient movement, focusing on the knee.
