Katia Giacomino

Katia Giacomino completed her Bachelor of Science in physiotherapy in 2012 at the the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland in Leukerbad. For 3 years, she worked in neurology unit (acute and rehabilitation) in various hospitals sites from the hospital of Valais. In 2015, she worked at the University Hospital of Lausanne and did meanwhile a master’s degree of Science at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Department of Health Professions in Bern (Switzerland) with a specialisation in the cardio-respiratory field.

Presently, she is working (60%) Senior academic associate (Cand. PhD) at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland Valais in Leukerbad, where she is involved in different research projects (respiratory, neurology and geriatric field). She is also working (40%) in the hospital of Sierre in the ward of geriatrics and neurology rehabilitation.
